The elegance of a home, the memory of a century.

A Bit of History...

For nearly a century, Résidence Deken has stood with quiet elegance on Père de Deken Street. Built in 1928 by architect Frans Vandenbroucke in a Beaux-Arts-inspired style, the house has borne witness to lives, friendships, receptions, and transformations.

Over the decades, several families have left their mark on the home. First, the de Menten de Horne family, for whom the residence was built and who lived here for 65 years. In the 1990s, the Carpentier de Changy family lovingly restored the house with great respect and craftsmanship... the result is magnificent. In 2003, the Beker family moved in and spent twenty joyful years there, before returning to their native England. At times inhabited, at times empty, then carefully restored, the house has always reflected the soul of those who cherished it.

In 2023, a new chapter began with the arrival of the Houtart and Susin family: admirers of heritage homes and bearers of a project rooted in both preservation and transmission. Their vision is to honour the spirit of the house while renovating it with the best techniques available today.

In this setting steeped in history and elegance, Résidence Deken now offers prestigious spaces for those seeking a refined atmosphere for their most memorable events.
